Boarding And Grooming

Boarding

When traveling for business or taking your family on vacation, there's enough stress without having to worry about who is going to take care of your beloved animal companion. This is especially true if your pet has a chronic or acute medical condition that requires a caregiver with some veterinary knowledge and experience.

Rather than impose on a neighbor or rely on a pet sitter with little animal care training, choose Pine Plains Veterinary. We offer veterinarian supervised boarding for companion animals. We are all pet owners, and have worked over the years to create a boarding service where our own pets feel comfortable and well-cared for.

Our boarding facility is temperature controlled and offers our canine boarders indoor/outdoor runs and pleanty of special attention. We have a dedicated employee who is responsible for our kennel and oversees all of our boarders' needs, which includes individual free exercise time in our fenced-in yards two to three times a day.

Cats are housed in their own separate area so they can relax without interaction with our canine friends.

All of boarding animals are fed Science Diet, but you can provide your pet's preferred diet or bring with you any toys if you feel that will help make your pet's stay even more comfortable. We ask that you make a reservation and that all dogs are up- to- date on their rabies and kennel cough vaccine. Cat's must be up-to-date on their rabies vaccine. Proof is required.

Please call us today to learn more about how we can provide your pet with a safe and comfortable place to stay while you are away from home.

Grooming

Grooming is a bit more than pet pampering; it's an important step in keeping you pet happy and healthy and a necessary component of our preventive care regimen. We've see so many happy and healthy dogs walk out of our grooming area, We know a good bath and brush makes your pet feel great and adds to his or her well being.

Regular baths and nail trim help remove harmful germs from the fur and paws that are picked up as your dog plays outside, and provides a great opportunity for the groomer to notice dried or cracked paw pads or skin issues.

We offer grooming for all breeds of dogs by our professional groomer.
Grooming is such an important part of keeping your pet happy and healthy, so please give us a call to set up an appointment for your dog today.
